Nicola joined the Financial Services industry in 2004 and founded Aotearoa Insurance in 2011 which is based on Waiheke Island. From her office in Ostend, Nicola has built a loyal base of clients throughout New Zealand.
Nicola likes to find a work/life balance and enjoys keeping fit and healthy, taking part in treks including the OXFAM 100km.

Getting involved in the local community is also important. She has regularly contributed written material on finance for the local paper, organised events to raise funds for hospice, chaired the Waiheke Marathon Wharf to Wharf, and is actively involved in the local Rotary group.

The best part of working in finance for Nicola is the people, meeting clients from all walks of life, listening to personal stories, and helping them achieve their financial goals.

With over two decades of experience helping New Zealanders protect and grow what matters most, I bring together a unique blend of financial expertise, teaching foundations, and hands-on business ownership. Currently I split my time between Auckland and Waiheke Island, and outside of work, I enjoy the outdoors, travelling the world, and spending time with friends and family.

My career began as a French teacher, prior to a 20 years career in the life insurance industry, supporting clients in building strong, reliable financial protection strategies.

Today, I specialise in KiwiSaver and Managed Funds – areas where I help individuals and families not only safeguard their future but actively build long-term wealth. My approach is straightforward, personable, and focused on empowering clients with clarity and confidence.
